There are about 3000 caves in Turkey. The Dim Cave, located about 11 kilometers from Alanya, is the first cave to be opened to visitors.

If you’ve had enough of the beach and the sun for a while, a trip to the Dim Cave is definitely recommended. There are several excursion agencies that offer this trip, but how nice is it to just go out on your own. The visit to the Dim Cave is certainly not expensive, namely 15 lira per person (about € 2.50).

The Dim Cave was created from movements of the water over millions of years. This water eventually disappeared. However, water still flows under the cave, which ends up in the “Dim river”.

Inside it looks beautiful, and not unimportantly, it is within 18-19 degrees. Which is quite nice when the temperature outside does not fall below 30 degrees. The inside of the cave consists of several drip stones. And at the end of the cave is a lake. So don’t stop halfway, because this is very beautiful to see.

And when you are outside it is certainly not finished yet, here you have a beautiful view of the rest of the “Dim river”. Which is also a small tip. Be sure to combine the Dim Cave with a trip to the “Dim river” or the Dimçayı.

The Dim Cave s approximately 30 minutes driving from Villa Carlijn
